The NBA 2K series has been said to have the best game play in the genre for years and little has changed in 2K8.

The game’s mechanics has stayed firm and it gives the same feel as its predecessors, with some tweaks here and there. New animations and bumped up audio adds to the over all excitement to the game, but it isn’t without its share of problems. Gamers may find that several options have been changed, such as the 24/7 mode being replaced with the NBA Blacktop mode, the addition of a Dunk and 3 Point Shoot Contest and several tweaks to the Association mode where gamers will have to pay more attention to the overall game rather than just player stats.

With that, the game still stays true to the past titles and is still regarded as being the number 1 NBA simulation game on the market to date.
