The third and final installment of the Halo Trilogy, Halo 3 once again puts gamers in control of Master Chief as he tries to stop the total annihilation of mankind by “The Covenant”. The game takes place shortly after the events of the comic mini series Halo: Uprising. Master Chief crashes into Earth where he joins the remaining forces in a final push to stop the Covenant from releasing their ultimate weapon upon the Human Race.

Gamers will find most of the weapons and vehicles that they have come accustomed to from previous games have returned with some cosmetic and power changes. On top of this, players will be able to find other items known as Equipment that have varied effects from Shield regeneration to enemy confusion, as well as a selection of powerful Support Weapons that add to the over all game play experience. Halo 3 will keep players coming back for more with its single player campaigns as well as its multiplayer elements which includes a map editor known as Forge.

Halo 3 breaks Halo 2’s first day sales, grossing over $ 170 Million US within the first 24 hours of its release and went on to be 2007’s best selling game of the year, with 8.1 million units sold.
